What are the Odds? (Dice probability) by Luke Vorpagel, Sierra College (Math student of the year 2009)
In this talk the speaker will derive a multi-variable expression that will
generate the probability of casting lots given d-dice, with s-sides and a
desired t-total. Only skills that have been instilled upon sierra college math
students will be used. This derivation will include but not be limited to
combinatorics, binomial series, truncating expressions and algebraic
cleverness. So please come and enjoy the experience of learning and
